Redemption
What is the solution?

Someone who was man but did not commit a crime (sin) could pay the penalty for us. That man is Jesus, who came to earth to pay the penalty of our sin for u and save us.

The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ.
Romans 6:23
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21

How did Jesus save us?

Jesus was Man, but he was also God at the same time. He died in our place so we could live with God, free of the penalty we deserve.

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed
Romans 6:23
So what, people die all the time?

Jesus not only died, but he rose from the dead 3 days later to defeat death, and by rising again, he proved that he was God and able to pay the penalty for us.

It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgement
Hebrews 9:27
So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with win but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him
Hebrews 9:28
Why would Jesus do this?

God loves us because we are his creation, but he hates the sins that we commit, preventing us from having a loving relationship with him. While we deserve the penalty, God sent Jesus to die on the cross for all our sins against him. Jesus has bridged the gap between us so that we can have a loving relationship with God and this is called the Good News!

God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us
Romans 5:8
For this is how God loved the world; He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believe in him will not perish but have eternal life
John 3:16
